What Are Microgreens?

Microgreens are the earliest stage of a vegetable plant’s development, harvested just after the first true leaves develop. These tiny greens are packed with concentrated nutrients, offering intense flavors and a rich variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Popular varieties include broccoli, radish, kale, and pea shoots, making them a flavorful and healthy addition to meals.

Why Microgreens Are Healthier Than Regular Greens Like Lettuce, Spinach & Kale?

  • Their nutrient content is more concentrated

  • Their vitamin and antioxidants levels are up to 40X higher than more mature greens

  • They contain more macro minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium

  • They’re also richer in micro minerals such as iron, zinc and copper

  • And the list goes on—they’re packed with B vitamins, essential amino acids, folate, and more!

How to Keep Your Microgreens Fresh Longer

To keep your microgreens fresh and lasting longer, store them in the refrigerator as soon as you receive them. Avoid excess moisture by placing a dry paper towel in the container to absorb humidity. Our microgreens are grown in a clean, controlled environment using strict food safety practices, so they technically don’t need to be washed. However, we recommend gently rinsing them just before use, not before storing, to prevent wilting. Properly stored, your microgreens can stay fresh for up to 2 weeks, retaining their flavor and nutrients.

How to Use Microgreens

Microgreens are incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of ways to enhance your meals. Sprinkle them on salads, sandwiches, or wraps for added flavor and texture. They also make a nutritious addition to smoothies, omelets, and soups, giving a touch of color and freshness to your meals.
